Jin stood there confused. "Old world?" He asked puzzled. "What do you mean Old world? And last chance? Our last chance to do what exactly?"
Jin starting pacing again looking at the sand. He felt anger within at the realization that he couldn't remember anything probably because of this 'new' world. Why did it have to affect him this way. What if he had a life before this. People he loved and cared about. Who is so important that they get to say that everyone has to die so they can try again....
Jin calmed his emotions and frustration and focused on the image of the cherry blossom frozen above the water. Inadvertently, time around him began to slow as he focused his thoughts and washed his anger away.

The snow leopard at Neve's feet turned and began walking toward the forest, a suspicious look in his eyes, but didn't say anything concerning the strange man. Without thinking, she took a few steps toward him and lay her hand on his arm to bring him back to reality. "I'm sorry you're confused - not everyone is born into this world, some just wake up. My companion has told me of the Universe people and how they were saved from the mass destruction caused by the Universe with their price to have all they were to be erased. You must have agreed to it - or else you wouldn't be alive...assuming you're one of those. They are called the Breathers of Death and the Unbound." Her hand went to her soft lips in uncertainty of the names, but it wasn't long before her companion came back from the forest with a rabbit in his jaws.
Sighing with annoyance, the snow leopard corrected her, "They're called Dead Breathers and Undine - if he is for sure one of them, he would be the lighter of the couple. I would assume you're an Undine, young man."

Jin nodded in acknowledgement but chuckled slightly when he was referred to as a young man.
He had all the answers that he would probably get for now. So where to go from here however? Jin thought about it for a moment then said, "Thank you very much for your assistance. This has been extremely eye opening. At last I have a reason for everything that has happened. But.... where exactly am I and what should I do now?"

Neve blushed with uncertainty, "I'm not entirely sure. It's your decision - I'm in no hurry to get rid of you though." Her blush deepened slightly but turned away so she could contain herself. Looking around, she figured she should help the man along his way.
Motioning to the area around them, she continued, "This is the Opal Ocean, just past this, is the forest and beyond that, is any other towns - but those places are quite dangerous, so be on your guard."
The snow leopard continued to stare at the young man while nibbling on his meal.

Jin smiled and nodded. It was getting late and he needed to be getting on his way if he was to investigate anything else any further.
"I thank you for all the help you have been."
Jin turned and began walking away. Without turning around, he called out again, "Oh, by the way, my name is Jin."
With that he dissipated into specks of light and floated off across the sand and towards the forest and perhaps whatever lay beyond that.
